While I was sorting the laundry, these are the things I found in my kids pockets. It made me smile.
Usually "clean out the fridge" dinner doesn't look like this, but my creativity turned out really good this time. I had the following that I needed to use before it went bad: pesto, salmon, peppers, asparagus, precooked rice. I made pesto rice- never heard of it, but it was really good. I made extra marinade to saute the veggies. Marinated salmon in soy sauce, garlic, honey, brown sugar and butter. Yummy!
We planed this Oklahoma Rosebud tree when we moved in 4 years ago. It is so beautiful in the Spring! I can only imagine what it will look like in 20 years.

Easter
Prior to Easter, Corbett had two grandparents and a baby cousin pass away with in three days of each other. It was interesting how the timing of it all was so close to Easter. These events, though sad, were a good reminder of the hope that we have in the resurrection.

January-February in the Jackson Home
The Jacksons and my family come to visit us for Tanner's baby blessing. I also had a family birthday party for me. I'm getting OLD!
Stacy, Jeff and Ella and Jack spent a Saturday with us. We went to the train museum in Sacramento and went on a bike ride.
Tanner with Grammy's quilt.
Grammy made these hats for the boys
Corbett and Marshall went skiing on Valentines Day. Just enough snow for them in Tahoe.
Reality... for a couple of months I slept in this recliner. I would get up in the night with Tanner and be so tired that one feeding ran into another. Now at 3 and 1/2 months Tanner is sleeping 8 hours and I'm a happy rested mom!

December
Grammy Jackson came in December to help me with my kids. It was nice to have some help about a month after Tanner was as I transitioned to three boys.
Marshall and Clay love doing yard work with Dad!
We had a relaxing Christmas...but Corbett was sick. luckily the rest of us stayed healthy.

We had our 3rd baby boy!
What a surprise! Baby Tanner came 2 weeks early.
Labor and delivery went very well for Chrissy and Tanner.
Marshall loves to hold Tanner and help mom. He is such a good big brother!
When we got home from the hospital Clay was confused because moms stomach wasn't flat, yet Tanner was born. He pointed to Chrissy's stomach and said, "When is that baby going to come out?" Mom assured him that Tanner was the baby in mom's belly, Tanner just left his pillow and blanket in there.
Clay is adjusting to being a big brother. When Clay realized that Tanner just eats and sleeps he said, "Can we take this baby back to the hospital and get one that sits up and crawls?"
Tanner is the best toy that Clay could have. He loves waking up Tanner by putting his face on Tanners face and saying, "Hi baby!" "Wake up baby Tanner!" We are working on setting boundaries for Clay and baby Tanner. Its a hard balance to have Clay feel involved in Tanners life, but to protect Tanner from a creative three year old.
